Meet Rick Steves. Mr. Europe.

There is no bigger, well known celebrity in the travel industry than Rick Steves.
Author of 50 travel guidebooks on Europe, Steves appears on public television, radio and as a syndicated columnist. You’ll seen him hosting Travel & Adventure shows at cities throughout the U.S., including Santa Clara, CA.

In 1976, he started “Europe Through the Back Door” as a one-man travel business. Today, 20,000 travel with his company to Europe annually.

“After 25 years of leading travel groups, I’ve been taught ‘age only matters if you’re a cheese’ and it’s never too late to have a happy childhood,“ Steves said.

Tips for travelers?

I always travel with noise-reduction headphones. They help dull the hum of airplanes and chatty seatmates. Read More.
